Editorial Policy
The economic department of the University Externado de
Colombia took the initiative to consolidate reflections in
the wide area of institutional economics. This effort is
driven by the ideal that today, the world is facing a new
era of development in the political and the economical
system. Comprehension of this is a key element for social
researchers, organizations and research institutions that
look for the social welfares, the development of political
institutions and a better market performance. The analysis
of this new international configuration requires new
theories, news tools, new methodologies, and a great effort
to break the existing barriers imposed by todays
professional specialists. This new approach has identified
new problems and has influenced the political reform of the
economic and political institutions. thus, the legal system.
Therefore, it has influenced more and more the development
of economics all over the world.
The Revista de Economía Institucional, is a plural
publication in which research and theoretical works related
to institutional economics made by Colombian and International
researchers are discussed and extended. It has the aim to
contribute in the creation of an academic society that brings
together an environment of free expression.
